FIRST LIGHT
A Visionary Novel of the Coming Dark and the Inner Light
Theodore J. Nottingham

A novel for those who sense the darkness gathering—and want to discover where the unshakable center is found: the stillness, clarity, and unconquerable courage that no darkness can reach.

In a nation where every conviction is registered and every voice is manufactured, a hidden network of small communities keeps alive the teaching of a slain prophet—a way of attention, inner presence, and freedom that no decree can reach.

As a power without conscience closes in, determined to erase that teaching within a generation, the remnant gathered in a mountain refuge faces an impossible choice: hold their ground at the cost of everything, or carry the flame southward into an unknown future.

What follows is a passage through the darkest hour, where fear and hope contend for the human soul—and where a people who have ceased to be afraid become the one country their enemy can never enter.

Out of sacrifice comes a dawn no one could have foreseen: the first light of a world made new.
